Seeing this evocative painting brings me back to my trip to Paris & walking right past this beautiful Greek revival edifice. Blanchard is known for his beautifully lit post-impressionistic street scenes. To paraphrase Rick in Casablanca, thanks to talented artists like Blanchard, I'll always have Paris."
