Description

Antique Brunswick model 117 custom made mahogany gramophone, circa 1918. This custom ordered US made gramophone by Brunswick features an ornate mahogany case that is hand painted with Oriental scenes on the sides and top. The stylized oval grille hides a large built in amplifying horn. This cabinet has luxurious record storage beneath complete with individualized wooden record boxes. This model 117 phonograph was made for the wealthiest families of the day, exquisite in every detail, complete with gold plated finishes. The phonograph was made in Illinois by Brunswick-Balke-Collender. This antique phonograph includes records and needles.
