KPM, or Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur (‘Royal Porcelain Factory’ in English), is Berlin’s oldest porcelain manufacturer founded in 1763, and continues producing today. In the 1800’s they began to employ important German artists to paint for them. KPM was known for their porcelain plaques, many of which were replicas of old masters.
